AKB 48

I went to Karaoke with my friends. I was in trouble because I couldn't sing any recent songs. Songs which I was able to sing were only old songs.

I didn't like to sing old songs. Most of my friends who were there were younger than me. One of them asked me to sing a song of AKB48. I have never sung their song until now. If I don't know the melody in the middle of the song, I can pass the microphone to my friend. After all I was able to sing the song and I also knew the dance for the song. It was easy to sing the song.

We were excited because everyone could sing to it. I have never listened to the entire song for all of the AKB48 songs, but their song are often played on the radio and TV.

I remember the songs in spite of oneself. I can understand that AKB48 are most popular idol group in Japan.

Why are Maikos famous in Kyoto.

I experienced wearing Maiko's costume in Kyoto. In Kyoto Maikos are known very well. They are also more famous than Geikos. Why are Maikos famous in Kyoto?

A Maiko is a trainee girl for Geiko(Geisya). They are also called "Hangyoku" and "Geisha" in Tokyo. Young girls who finished junior high school moved into Okiyas to become a Maiko. Okiya is similar to modeling agencies.

The first three years they devoted to training to become a Geiko. They learn dancing, playing a musical instrument. and manners. After training they make their debut in front of a customer. Then they can wear Kimono and Zori ( japanese style sandals ) put on white make up. They put on sandals that are over 7cm high. They are also wrapped with a long obi.

A Maiko attracts a lot of people because Maiko's kimono and their hair ornaments are very decorative.

The reason why a lot of girls want to experience being a Maiko is because of the beautiful kimonos and hair ornaments.

I was one of them.

Do you know Happy Turn of a Japanese cheap snack covered with Miracle powder ?

Do you know Happy Turn of a Japanese cheap snack covered with Miracle powder ?

Happy Turn is a Japanese cheap snack. If you are invited to a party in Japan.
I recommend you to bring this snack. This snack makes people happy. It has an oval shape.
Each snack is wrapped in transparent paper. It tastes salty and a little sweet.
Each piece is covered in powder which is called "Miracle powder".

Recently I brought this snack on my short trip. I handed it out to my friends. They enjoyed eating it.
Which led them to an endless talk about the miracle powder. One of them said "This snack is my most favorite snack".
My other friend said "I want to eat only the powder".
People who love this snack especially like this powder. Once you taste this powder, you are a prisoner of this snack.
There are rumors that the powder contains a drug because people are crazy about it.
In fact the powder doesn't containing any drug.
Anyway the snack turns people happy just like their name.
Thank you, Arigato Gozaimasu (^^)
